Annual dues ($30 for government employees; $45 for all others) are due by September 30th each year. Dues may be paid through this website.

The officers of the BCABA (president, vice-president, secretray, and treasurer) serve one-year terms. Their activities are overseen by a nine-member board of governors, who serve staggered three-year terms.

The BCABA publishes a quarterly periodical called The Clause. In addition, the BCABA holds its annual meeting in October. At various times throughout the year, there are other BCABA activities such as the Trial Practice seminars, the executive policy forum, and the judge's reception, which is co-sponsored with the D.C. Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
